The latest news from the federal court in downtown Chicago: Investors' EB-5 funds in "Chicago convention center project" will be released from the escrow account and shall be sent back to investors soon! If no investors oppose the motion to return their initial $500,000 by April 17th, then the funds will be sent back to the investors from the escrow account. SEC Assistant Chief Litigation Counsel, Patrick M. Bryan commented that the funds will be released immediately assuming no opposition and must be released within a maximum of 60 days. The case has become national headline news in China. Today's court decision appears to be a good news for over 200 Chinese investors who invested in the project.
