Canada's Quebec Immigrant Investor Program is reopening and will only accept 1,750 applications between August 1-16, 2013 by post. In the very first week of the opening, over 2600 investor applications from China are filed. Only 1200 applications will be taken from one country. In case that over 2,000 applications are received, there will be a ballot to determine which applications will be considered. Applicants must invest $800,000 Canadian dollars for five years with a financial service provider approved by the Quebec government. It is expected over 4000 applications will be filed by Chinese investors by August 16, 2013.
