8 injured in South Side crash due to DRIVING WHILE BLACK at 67th Street and South Blackstone Avenue

A three-vehicle crash near the south end of Jackson Park sent eight people to hospitals this afternoon, including one critically injured adult and several young children, authorities said.
The crash involving two minivans and a sedan a little before 4 p.m. happened near the intersection of 67 th Street and Blackstone Avenue on the border between the Woodlawn and Grand Crossing neighborhoods.
One adult suffered serious-to-critical injuries and was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, said Chicago Fire Department spokesman Chief Joe Roccasalva. Three other adults in fair-to-serious condition and four children in good-to-fair condition were taken to area hospitals, including Comer Children’s Hospital, the University of Chicago Medical Cetner, St. Bernard Hospital and Jackson Park Hospital, he said.
