Two with checkered pasts shot & wounded in Chicago's Rogers Park Neighborhood

Two men were wounded this evening in a shooting on the Far North Side in the city's Rogers Park neighborhood.

The shooting happened shortly before 6 p.m. on the 7300 block of North Damen Avenue, said Police News Affairs Officer Dan O'Brien.

A 20-year-old man was shot multiple times and was taken to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center where his condition was stabilized, O'Brien said.

A 19-year-old was shot once and taken to Saint Francis Hospital where his condition has been stabilized, O'Brien said.

As of 8:15 p.m. and as usual no one was in custody for the attack and Area North Detectives were investigating.
