Potholes are not fun in any size, shape or manner, but don't try telling that to the Chicago Department of Transportation.
CDOT on Friday declared this weekend "Potholepalooza.'' It's a three-day festival of pothole reporting in which drivers are encouraged to report the locations of as many potholes as possible, officials said.
The public can do so by calling the city's 311 nonemergency hotline, using the city's Web link at cityofchicago.org/311, texting "Chicago" to 311311 with the location of potholes or turning to various 311 smartphone apps, including SeeClickFix and ChicagoWorks.
