UPDATE: Carlos M. Lomeli age 24 identified as the person killed - Oak Lawn - 104th just east of Central on Georgia Lane - Vehicle smashes into house, leaving 1 dead, 2 hurt

UPDATE DEAD PERSON IDENTIFIED: The Audi's driver, Carlos M. Lomeli, 24, of the 10600 block of South Kilbourn in Oak Lawn, died on the scene, according to the Cook County medical examiner's office.

A speeding Audi smashed into a house in southwest suburban Oak Lawn Friday night, leaving its driver dead and two passengers injured, police said.

The Audi was westbound on 105th Street traveling at a high rate of speed when it left the road and plowed into a house in the 10400 block of South Georgia Lane at 10:39 p.m., police said in a press release.

The Audi's driver, a 22-year-old man, died on the scene and was taken to the Cook County medical examiner's office. He has not yet been officially identified.
