Chicago Police shot a person early Saturday in the South Side Chatham neighborhood.
The officer-involved shooting happened about 1 a.m. in the 8600 block of South Rhodes Avenue, police News Affairs Officer Amina Greer said. Police shot a suspect during the incident, Greer said. No officers were hurt, but further details were not yet known early Saturday.
Area South detectives and the Independent Police Review Authority — which investigates all police-involved shootings — are investigating. An IPRA spokesperson was not immediately available for comment.
