Remember when baseball was as American as apple pie? Now the team president has to have an interpreter to talk with players... Chicago Cubs Jorge Soler suspended for five games after incident

Chicago Cubs top minor league outfield prospect Jorge Soler has been suspended for five games after an on-field incident Wednesday night during a game between Class A Daytona and Clearwater.
The suspension was imposed by the Florida State League.

Soler and Clearwater's Edgar Alonso exchanged words at second base before the incident after Soler slid into the base. Teammates came out to separate them, and everyone headed back to the dugouts. But Soler came sprinting back out of the dugout -- bat in hand -- toward the Clearwater dugout, according to one report.

Cubs President Theo Epstein said he spoke to Soler on Thursday morning over the phone through an interpreter.

“Jorge is tremendously remorseful about what happened. He understands what he did was wrong. He didn’t sleep all night, up all night thinking about it. Very apologetic. He understands this can’t happen again," said Epstein, who talked to the media at Wrigley Field before the punishment was announced.
