The head of the city agency that investigates allegations of misconduct against Chicago police officers will be leaving her post at the end of next month, city officials said today.
Ilana Rosenzweig plans to resign her $161,856-a-year position as chief administrator of the Independent Police Review Authority to move with her family to Singapore, where her husband is taking a new job.
In a brief interview with the Tribune, Rosenzweig said the decision to leave IPRA was difficult. She said she hopes not to step away from police oversight—a field she’s worked in for 15 years—but her future plans are “something to be developed.”
