May 10, 2013 (RICHMOND, Ill.) (WLS) -- The FBI says they have two suspects in custody, and a third was shot and killed in the parking lot of a bank 55 miles north of Chicago after an apparent robbery attempt.
It happened shortly before noon Friday morning at the Associated Bank, 10910 N. Main Street, in Richmond, Illinois.
The FBI says its agents confronted three suspects leaving the bank. Shots were fired. According to the FBI, agents were at the bank because of prior knowledge something was going to happen -- and were able to intercept the suspects before they entered the bank.
