Illinois State police ticket more than 130 texting on Kennedy Expressway - They picked the expressway with the most WHITE DRIVERS who can pay the ticket

Monday 30 September 2013

State troopers issued 135 citations for distracted driving at two points along the Kennedy Expressway in just 2-1/2 hours this morning, most of them drivers paying attention to their texting rather than the road, Illinois State Police said.
The citations were issued at target areas near Addison and Montrose avenues on southbound Interstate 90 between about 7 a.m. and 9:30 a.m., said State Police District Chicago Lt. David Byrd.
Texting while driving is illegal in Illinois, with citations carrying a $120 fine. While texting sometimes results in fatal accidents, it also often causes crashes that don't hurt anyone--but end up tying up traffic during rush hour.
"A lot of these minor fender-benders out there that we have, we ask what happened, and they say 'I was distracted,' and when we ask why," drivers have been send text messages, Byrd said.
Drivers were issued tickets and given information about the dangers of distracted driving, including sending text messages, Byrd said.
Although most of the citations Monday involved drivers using their cell phones, in one case, a driver was pulled over as he tried to take care of a morning grooming ritual.
"We had one incident, a subject who was shaving with an electric shaver," Byrd said.
Talking on a phone you are holding while driving will become illegal under a new law that takes effect Jan. 1.

Dana Holmes' DUI arrest by the Marseilles Police Department followed by her detention at the LaSalle County Sheriff's Office leads to a lawsuit

PHOTO: What she looks like sober and not being combative with the police....
Dana Holmes was drunk, naked and being recorded on video.
The 33-year-old was facedown on the floor of a LaSalle County jail cell while cameras captured images of her nude body on the facility's video system. Minutes earlier, four deputies — three men and a woman — had pulled her to the ground and carried her into the cell, where they quickly and forcibly stripped Holmes and walked out with her clothes.
"There was no excuse or anything to give them a reason to put their hands on me," said Holmes, who filed a federal lawsuit against LaSalle County authorities Monday. "I was just scared. I didn't want them to have any reason to come back inside."

7-11 on 103rd Street in Chicago's Mt. Greenwood Neighborhood was held up at gun point & a shot fired by a BLACK MALE

A shot was fired at an armed robbery of a 7-Eleven late Saturday night, according to police.

At about 11:35 p.m. on Sept. 27 a man walked into the 7-Eleven on the 10300 block of S. Sawyer Avenue with a handgun and demanded money, according to Chicago Police Department News Affairs.

A store clerk placed cash into a bag and gave it to the man, police said. He then fired the gun before leaving the store, police said.

Area South Detectives are investigating the incident and no one has been charged in connection with this crime. Police declined to provide a description of the suspect.

The 7-Eleven was back open Sunday morning.

Negro punches white store clerk over $1.41 blunt cigar..... But no black reverends will be marching over this.... not at all...

Authorities in Lakewood, California are on the hunt for a man who viciously punched 23-year-old store clerk Yadira Lara in the face over a $1.41 cigar, reports KTLA.com.
At around 1:15 PM PST, September 7, the man entered a local Chevron station and stood in line for a Swisher Sweet cigar, most commonly used to smoke marijuana. When he was told the price of the cigar, he handed clerk $1.00. The surveillance footage shows him getting agitated when the clerk asks for the additional $0.41 and reaching over the counter to snatch it from her hand. When she moved quickly to keep it away from him, things turned ugly — literally — in the blink of an eye.
Read more from KTLA:
The man can be seen trying to grab the cigar out of the employee’s hand, but she was able to put it behind the counter out of his reach. She then asked the man to leave the store. “I just said ‘You need to get out’ and he just says the “b” word,” the clerk told KTLA. Instead of leaving, the man leaned over the front counter and punched her in the face with his right hand. The clerk, who did not want to be identified, says she was scared and also surprised that no one came to her aid. “No one did anything, not one of them,” she said. She still finds it hard to believe someone would punch her over a cigar. “It just got me really mad, like over that, really?”
Lara, who blacked out after the vicious punch, suffered a black eye in the attack, which happened to be the left eye she injured in childhood. She’s now left with permanent damage that could leave her blind, reports

Wildebeest Couple Jernanna Gardner & Damion Wilson Stealing Gasoline Caught After Asking For Directions

If you're going to steal something, it's probably best not to tell the clerk where you're headed.
But that's exactly what police say a Merrillville woman did at a Valpraiso gas station Thursday.
According to the Northwest Indiana Times, 31-year-old Jernanna Gardner asked the clerk a the Admiral Petroleum for directions to the Social Security office on Eastporte Centre Drive.
While she was speaking with the clerk, the passenger in her car, 31-year-old Damion Wilson, pumped $42 worth of gas. The clerk told police that Gardner went back to the car and drove off without paying.
After police failed to find the suspects in the immediate area, the clerk told officers that she had given directions to the Social Security office, and that's where the suspects were found.
Police say Gardner claimed that she didn't know Wilson had pumped the gas, but police say their stories didn't add up, according to the newspaper.
Gardner was charged with theft and Wilson was arrested on an outstanding warrant.

Muslims pisses off about other terrorist Muslims being shot by law enforcement

Muslim civil rights group calls on DOJ to probe denial of constitutional rights
(TAMPA, FL, 9/25/2013) - The Florida chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR-FL) today called on the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) to investigate a pattern of "egregious" civil rights violations and abuse by the FBI targeting associates of Ibragim Todashev, who was shot and killed by an FBI agent after hours of interrogation in the Chechen immigrant's home.
CAIR-FL reports that the alleged violations of constitutional rights included the denial of the Fifth Amendment right to an attorney.
According to CAIR-FL, a number of friends and associates of Todashev have come forward to complain of frivolous investigations, intimidation and unlawful threats by the FBI.
Most recently, Ashur Miraliev, who assisted Todashev's father, Abdul Baki Todashev, and drove the senior Todashev to all his meetings during his stay in Orlando, was arrested by the FBI on September 18. When informed of the arrest, CAIR-FL attorneys immediately contacted the U.S. attorney's office and the FBI and asked to speak to Miraliev and requested that he not be questioned without his attorney present.

Despite being his legal counsel, CAIR-FL attorneys were not able to meet with Miraliev until yesterday. At that point, CAIR-Florida learned that Miraliev was questioned for more than six hours after his arrest, not about any alleged criminal activity he participated in, but about everything he knew concerning Ibragim Todashev.
Since his arrest, and throughout the interrogation, Miraliev reportedly told the agents that he wanted to speak with his attorneys and that he wanted his attorneys present. The FBI agents allegedly responded: "That is not happening."

The Fifth Amendment to the U.S. Constitution mandates that law enforcement authorities must cease any questioning of individuals in custody once they ask for an attorney and that they must be allowed to contact an attorney. CAIR-FL says FBI reportedly ignored Miraliev's repeated requests for an attorney and continued to question him in violation of the law.
CAIR-Florida Civil Rights Director Thania Diaz Clevenger, Esq., made the following statement:
"This egregious conduct by the FBI shows that some agents have little regard for the fundamental rights protected by the Constitution and are engaging in gross violations of the Bill of Rights. It is simply unacceptable for the FBI to continue to question our client and deny his requests to speak with his legal counsel. It fits the pattern of abuse and troubling behavior by FBI agents beginning in the days prior to the killing of the unarmed Ibragim Todashev. One can only wonder if Mr. Todashev was denied his rights to legal council during the questioning that ultimately resulted in his death."
While conducting its own independent investigation, CAIR-FL has received several corroborating reports from associates of Todashev that FBI agents have threatened to wrongfully arrest them unless they became informants and spied on local mosques, Muslim restaurants and hookah lounges.
"The DOJ must rein in the atrocious abuse of ethics and the rule of law by overzealous agents who have apparently disregarded the protections enshrined in our Constitution, which are essential to maintaining liberty and justice in our legal system. We also urge community members never to be intimidated by abusive law enforcement tactics and to maintain their right to remain silent and their right to an attorney when approached by FBI agents," said CAIR-Florida Executive Director in Tampa Hassan Shibly

Glow In The Dark Colored Car thief sprayed with invisible dye in police trap

Yafet Askale, 28, denied breaking into the vehicle which had been fitted with a traceable liquid called SmartWater, which contains a dye that becomes visible under ultra violet light.
As he stole items including a laptop he activated a system which sprayed him with the substance and alerted police the car had been broken into. Ultra violet lights showed Askale covered in the spray.

Releasing the images as a warning, Detective Inspector Madeline Ryder, of Brent Police, said: "This is another excellent example of the thorough work completed by Brent Officers. Using the trap car technology we were able to charge Askale and put him before the courts.

"The trap car forms part of an overall crime reduction strategy designed by SmartWater which is an effective weapon in the armoury of tools that we routinely use in Brent. We will continue to target those who are insistent on committing these types of offence.

"Brent Police say very clearly to any would be thieves - don't come to Brent - our trap cars and trap houses are waiting for you."

Askale, of Harlesden Gardens, Harlesden, was sentenced to a community order for 49 hours and ordered to pay £400 costs at Brent Magistrates' Court for theft from motor vehicle.

The trap car with SmartWater was set up near his home when he targeted it in June. The suspect was found to be in possession of the stolen property and arrested. He denied theft but was found guilty.

Brent Police have recently been working with SmartWater using trap cars and houses equipped with technology to deter thieves from committing crime and to catch those that do.

Residents have also been provided with free kits to mark valuable property with the substance within their homes which has led to reductions in burglary and street robbery and 80 and 40 percent respectively.

Three different traceable liquids are currently being trialled across London by police to prevent burglary, theft, robbery and vehicle related crime. The others are called Applied DNA Sciences and Stealth Mark.

As our country morally crumbles... Massachusetts Prevents Conservatives From Adopting Children

Our left-wing rulers have crossed the Rubicon into pure evil by advancing homosexual adoption, with easily foreseeable results (e.g., herehere, and here). But liberal tolerance doesn’t extend to everyone. Progressive officials weed out parents with conservative values who might not participate in their depraved social engineering schemes:
A video has been uncovered of Massachusetts officials promising to weed out foster parents with conservative values who would only “tolerate” a youth’s gender confusion and not endorse it.
Predictably, now that they have “tolerance,” it is no longer enough. Adoptive parents are required to be the sort who will use child rearing as an opportunity to actively advance the homosexual agenda.
The video was captured by Janet Aldrich of Catch of the Day Video News and featured by political activist Amy Contrada, who researches family issues through the non-profit Massachusetts-based group Mass Resistance organization.
In a new report, Contrada wrote: “It’s now official policy in Massachusetts. Adults holding traditional values will no longer be allowed to adopt or be foster parents.”
Contrada said the video is of a Boston Bar Association forum with the state Department of Children and Families and the state agency on homosexual youth.

You read that correctly. Massachusetts has a state agency devoted to promoting sexual deviancy among children.
“The DFC speakers confirmed that they are ‘weeding out’ adoptive and foster parents who are not willing to wholly accept and support LGBT (lesbian, “gay,” bisexual, or transgender) self-identification by a child in their care,” she wrote.
That is, any parents who are not barking moonbats devoted to the Left’s grotesque sexual agenda

Train Runs Over Couple Having Sex on Tracks - Wonder if she was PULLING A TRAIN?

MOSCOW (RIA Novosti) - Local police say a middle-aged couple in central Ukraine was run over by a switcher locomotive while having sex on the tracks. According to the country's Interior Ministry, the woman died at the location while the man was hospitalized after losing both his legs

The victims' names were not released, but it was reported that the man was 41 and the woman appeared to by thirtysomething.
The ministry cited the surviving victim, who said that he and his girlfriend “failed to overcome their natural passion when walking home… and wanted to experience an extreme sensation near the railroad tracks.”

An average girl became the ‘White Widow’

Mudshark Samantha Lewthwaite, dubbed the "White widow", the British fugitive widow of 7/7 bomber Jermaine Lindsay, right, are pictured together in a family photo.
When Samantha Laithwaite’s husband blew up a London subway, she played the grieving victim. Then she became a killer.
She grew up middle-class in suburban Buckinghamshire, England, and was considered an average girl in every way. Her father, Allen, was a former British Army soldier-turned-lorry driver; her mother, Christine, a homemaker. She has one older brother, Allen, and friends recall that as early as junior high, Samantha Laithwaite was a pretty and popular girl. When her parents broke up in 1994, she took it hard but seemingly no harder than most of her friends whose parents had divorced. She wasn’t particularly ambitious or studious, but she was a good girl who was shy around boys, considered by classmates to be exceptionally warm and decent.
Today, she is known as the White Widow, wanted in connection with last week’s attack on the Westgate Mall in Kenya. But Laithwaite, 29, has been known to law enforcement since July 7, 2005, when her then-husband detonated a bomb in London’s subway system, killing himself and 26 civilians; back then, she was the weeping, 8-months-pregnant widow who became the subject of national sympathy.
So, how did this nice young girl grow up to become one of the world’s most wanted terrorists?
BROKEN HOMES, BROKEN LIVESAs wild as Laithwaite’s story seems — the white woman from the West who decides to become a radical Islamic jihadist — it is not without precedent. There is Rabiah Hutchison, the former Australian surfer girl tuned “grande dame of terror,” once married to a bin Laden confidante. “I would defend Islam with my life,” she told ABC News in 2008, “so that makes me a filthy, dirty, subhuman terrorist.”
There’s also “Mama Shabab,” a Canadian woman who runs a safe house for terrorists in Somalia; Colleen Rose, a. k. a. “Jihadi Jane,” the American woman facing a life sentence for aiding and abetting terrorists, and Muriel Degauque, a Belgian woman who committed the 2005 suicide bombing of a US convoy in Iraq (only she was killed).
They all have certain things in common, says Mia Bloom, professor of security studies at the University of Massachusetts and author of the book “Bombshell: Women and Terrorism”: broken homes, low self-esteem, lost souls in search of purpose.

DRIVING WHILE BLACK - Car Stolen, Driver Drunk & High, No License - Kills 65 year old white volunteer worker Dorothy Galloway and leaves her husband fighting for his life - 18-year-old Dontrell Littleton was high on drugs, speeding down Spring Creek in a stolen car

ROCKFORD (WIFR) – A trip to a friend’s house turned deadly after police say the driver of a stolen car crashed into a Rockford couple, killing a woman and leaving her husband fighting for her life.
The Rockford Police Department says 18-year-old Dontrell Littleton was high on drugs, speeding down Spring Creek in a stolen car on Sunday. Littleton lost control of the car near North Second Street, hitting another car and killed 65-year-old Dorothy. So far, Littleton has only be charged with speeding and DUI, but more charges could come later.
Galloway’s death hit the community hard. She spent years in the Stateline, volunteering for dozens of organizations.
“The one thing I think you hear from everybody is as soon as you meet her, you’ll never forget her. That’s just Dorothy. She’s got a very infectious personality, kind of contagious,” said United Way CEO Paul Logli.
Dorothy Galloway’s giving spirit touched thousands of lives. The 65-year-old dedicated her life to serving others in the Rockford Community.
“We are indebted to Dorothy Galloway for the things she has done over the last decades that have improved the plight of thousands of people in our community,” Logli said.
She worked with the Epilepsy Association, Hunger Connection, Mother House, and the AIDS network and the list goes on and on. Her friend of more than 30 years, Kay Larrick says Galloway never gave helping others a second thought.
“It was just a true love life and being able to share that and help in any way she could. You know, she’d say, just give me a call girl, just give me a call, I’ll do that,” said Galloway’s friend Kay Larrick.

Twin Brothers Jim and Joseph Paoletti follow the footsteps of their Chicago Police parents.... James and Grayce Paoletti & become Chicago Police officers

PHOTO: Twins Jim (left) and Joseph Paoletti with their parents, James and Grayce Paoletti — both retired Chicago Police officers — last week after graduating from the Chicago Police Academy.

As boys, twins Jim and Joseph Paoletti would put on their parents’ Chicago Police hats and marvel at the black leather “gadget” belt their father strapped on before he ventured out into the city after dark — like Batman.
“You’re a kid and you have to go to bed at a certain time, but he was going to work,” Joseph Paoletti said. “I knew he was out fighting crime and keeping the city safe.”
The twins, now 25, are getting their own taste of life on the city’s streets — after graduating together this month from the Chicago Police Academy, following in their mother’s and father’s footsteps.
“All the little kids are waving at us and asking us how they can become police officers,” said Jim Paoletti, who, with his brother, is monitoring one of the Safe Passage school routes on the South Side. “I tell them to make sure they stay in school.”

Jordan Matyas - The son-in-law of Illinois House Speaker Michael J. Madigan & another — are under investigation over allegations involving sexual and racial harassment of RTA employees.

Sexual Harrassment? When then he is probably CHEATING on good old Mike Madigan's daughter also!

The Regional Transportation Authority’s top two executives — one of them the son-in-law of Illinois House Speaker Michael J. Madigan — are under investigation over allegations involving sexual and racial harassment of RTA employees.
The RTA has referred the matter to the state’s executive inspector general, Ricardo Meza, following an internal investigation of the allegations, which were leveled more than a year ago against the agency’s executive director, Joseph Costello, and his chief of staff, Jordan Matyas.

Missing Wheaton Illegal Beaner Linda Valez Colon found dead and buried in Glen Ellyn - Glen Ellyn to decontaminate the ground where the 5'5' 250 POUNDER was found

Authorities have launched a criminal investigation after finding the body of a missing 33-year-old woman buried in a west suburban clearing, police said.
Following a missing person report in Wheaton, police in neighboring Glen Ellyn were patrolling wooded areas Saturday morning when an officer noticed signs of suspicious activity in Panfish Park, according to a press release issued Sunday by the Glen Ellyn Police Department.
Authorities searched the area, and late that afternoon they found a woman's body buried in a nearby clearing.

Missing Nick Steward - Where is he? Homosexual Love Triangle? With a Hot & Sexy Young Nympho? Just sick and tired of a nagging fat wife?

Sunday 29 September 2013

Armed with dozens of fliers and copies of maps, more than 150 volunteers canvassed Wood Dale to Lake Villa on Sunday in search of Nicholas Steward.
The 33-year-old man went missing Sept. 20, just after he talked to his boss, texted his wife and called his parents, telling them he was headed home, according to family and friends. Since then, authorities have had little luck narrowing down where Steward disappeared and haven't found his 2008 white Saturn Aura.
"It's totally out of character," said his father, Don Steward, as he hugged his wife, Kathy. "All indications were he was coming home. He contacted three people that evening in 20 minutes."

In '60 Minutes' segment, Cook County Sheriff Tom Dart calls jails 'the new insane asylums'

Cook County Sheriff Tom Dart warned about the dangers of sending mentally ill people to jail in a nationally televised Sunday interview.
Dart, appearing on the CBS news magazine “60 Minutes,”called jails and prisons “the new insane asylums” and said that the criminal justice system is not equipped to address issues of mental illness. The Cook County jail, which Dart estimated had at least 2,500 inmates with severe mental issues on the day of his CBS interview, has been called the nation’s largest treatment center for mental health.
In comments similar to those he has recently made to the Tribune, Dart said the closure of state mental hospitals and the slashing of funds for community-based treatment programs has left the criminal justice system to deal with people whose actions are often clouded by severe illnesses that have gone untreated.

New York French bakery fines $25,000.00 for not hiring this shithead Jamilah DaCosta, 25

Framboise Patisserie, a French bakery in Queens, New York was fined $25,000 by the NYC Human Rights Commission for discriminating against employment applicant Jamilah DaCosta, 25, due to her race, reports the NY Daily News. DaCosta interviewed with Framboise Patisserie’s co-owner Patty Meimetea in October 2011 and was told she was unsuitable for the “counter girl” position “because you’re Black.” Allegedly, Meimetea said that Black workers at the front of the store would scare away customers. (I call total bullshit in anybody telling this wildebeest this!)

The Human Rights Commission fined Framboise $25,000 not only for their racial discrimination against DaCosta. but for placing a gender-specific Craiglist ad for a “counter-girl.” “I felt hurt. I was disgusted,” DaCosta said. “Before I could even pull out my resume or start a formal interview, she was telling me all this negative stuff — she couldn’t hire me because I was black, I would scare away her customers.” Adding insult to injury, Meimetea told DaCosta that she would hire her if a position became available in the kitchen, “where customers wouldn’t see her.” “They’re not judging me on my personality, but my skin color. What century are we living in?” DaCosta said. “I thought I had thick skin, I thought I could withstand anything, but it just completely broke me down

Stacy Schnee who is a transgender man ass eating faggot refuses to wear a top when in public

Protest: Stacy Schnee has been riding her bike topless as part of a campaign for women to be able to go topless, like men
A transsexual who bike rides, barbecues and bush walks half-naked to promote 'topless equality' was confronted by police following dozens of complaints about her public nudity.
Stacey Schnee, 38, was pulled over by two police cruisers earlier this month after neighbors complained about her wearing nothing but shorts, shoes and a helmet as she cycled through Leicester, Massachusetts.
Her public display didn't just turn heads - traffic slowed down, motorists honked, some people took video, while others shouted they would call police.
But officers didn't arrest the single mom
But officers didn't arrest the single mom because she was wearing pasties over her nipples, meaning she wasn't completely nude.
However, Schnee said the officers weren't really sure how to interpret the law as they stood next to her on the side of the road.
'They were trying to tell me I was doing something wrong, and I argued back that no, it's not, it's legal,' Schnee toldtelegram.com.
'You don't even actually have to [wear pasties], but it's way easier to get out of trouble when you are wearing them in this state because the laws are shady.
'So, after talking with them [officers] for about five minutes they said, 'Well, just get out of Leicester so we don't have to deal with the calls. Just go back to Worcester'.'
However the unusual incident has forced police and the district attorney's office to take a fresh look at local laws, meaning Schnee could still be charged.
'Based upon a review of the law, it is unclear whether her partially covering herself up, puts her on the right side of the law,' Leicester Police Chief James Hurley said.
'She is out there riding around, appearing to be topless and exposing herself for the shock value.'
Massachusetts General Laws imply if only a small part of the breast is covered, it should be considered nudity. Other sections of the law state a breast is uncovered if there is no covering 'below a point immediately above the top of the areolae.'
Other sections of the law mention the intent to shock is to be considered illegal as well.

Colorado Illegal Beaners DEMAND Federal Flood Grant Money following the flooding damage there....

Media interest in the mess following the catastrophic Colorado floods has dribbled off to near zero, but the Associated Press is concerned that illegal aliens are suffering unduly because of insufficient benefits coming from the government. The AP story includes lots of yucko pictures of trailers turned to soggy messes.

The story notes how the foreigners have received private donations of “amazing” generosity. But the illegals feel entitled just because they live there: this is America and they want maximum free stuff.
One illegal person says, “We were flooded like everyone else. We suffered the same damage. “We pay taxes, we work here.
Associated Press, September 27, 2013
EVANS, Colo. (AP) — Immigrants living in the U.S. illegally returned to their mobile home parks in flood-ravaged Colorado to find that there was little left to salvage — not the water-damaged cars, not the old family pictures and not the sheds carried away by the rushing waters.
The destruction, however, was only the beginning of what’s been a nightmarish two weeks. They didn’t have flood insurance. And because they are not citizens or legal residents — and don’t have family members who are — they won’t get the federal government’s help.
“They say that faith and hope die last,” said Juan Partida, 40, a dairy worker who along with his wife Mari, who is pregnant, do not qualify for federal emergency aid because they are in the country illegally. “We need to have faith and hope that we’ll get help.”
How quickly they can rebuild their lives, relying largely on local government and nonprofit organizations, will have long-term ramifications on the Weld County industries that depend on their labor, from meatpacking plants and farms to construction and hotels.
“They’re out of their homes, and a lot of them have lost their vehicles in this, they’re impacted. So the economy is going to be impacted,” said Lyle Achziger, mayor of Evans, a city on the northern plains whose population of 19,500 is 43 percent Latino.
Achziger said officials responding to the disaster have been learning about the immigrants’ importance to the region’s economy. He said the city hopes to get people help by getting them to register with the city, county and other volunteer aid organizations.
“We have told them that immigration status is not our focus. And I will repeat that again, that is not our focus. Our focus is getting people out of the cold, getting a roof over their head and getting them a warm meal,” he said.
The JBS meatpacking plant in Greeley employs nearly 50 immigrant workers whose families were displaced. The company has paid for hotels, delivered food, and tried to connect families with available services, company spokesman Cameron Bruett said.
“They’re certainly a critical element of our team,” Bruett said.
The waters that ripped through the Evans mobile home park the morning of Sept. 13 gave residents only minutes to get out. Many left with just the clothes they were wearing.
Many of the mobile park residents came from Mexico, and those in the country illegally will not get help from the Federal Emergency Management Agency unless they have U.S. citizen children or a family member who is a legal resident.
For those who do qualify for FEMA aid, immigrant advocates are concerned there’s a lack of Spanish-language speakers to help families navigate the system.
When a FEMA housing inspector visited Sofia Mendez, 59, the meeting left her confused about what help she would get, she said. Mendez, who is a naturalized citizen, started buying her $29,000 trailer in Evans about a year ago.
FEMA insists it has enough Spanish-speaking workers in the field helping immigrants. Spokesman Daniel Llargues said the agency is committed to “making sure that they’re getting the information they need to recover” and that Spanish speakers have been knocking on doors and stationed at disaster assistance centers.

Former Top DUI Writing Cook County Sheriff Police Officer Bill Pelarenos says - Sheriff Tom Dart and his cops are after him because he teaches defense attorneys on how to win DUI criminal cases

He was once one of the state's top cops when it comes to catching drunk drivers. Now, he says, he's being targeted by police because he's helping lawyers defend DUI's.

Until retiring earlier this year, Bill Pelarenos was part of the Cook County Sheriff's Police DUI Task Force and made over 900 DUI arrests during a 30-year police career.
Soon after retirement, Pelarenos began holding paid seminars to teach police officers what he had learned.

"It is the procedure for proper DUI enforcement. The standard field sobriety test, the arrest, the breathalyzer. Whatever from A to Z," Pelarenos said.

But after some interest from defense attorneys, Pelarenos began teaching the same seminar to lawyers who handle DUI cases, like Sammy Azhari.

"I wanted to learn what Mr. Pelarenos had to say about his years of experience in the field and give me some opportunities to defend my clients a little better in court," Azhari said.

Pelarenos says that's when he started getting harassed by Cook County State's Attorney investigators serving him with subpoenas to appear in court on old cases he had little to do with.

Slanty Eyes Chink Yongfei Ci, 29, a University of Illinois doctoral student, is being held in the death of his round eye ex-girlfriend

Friday 27 September 2013

A University of Illinois doctoral student from China faces charges in the death of his ex-girlfriend Friday morning, authorities said.
Yongfei Ci, 29, is expected to appear 10:30 a.m. Saturday in Champaign County Court in connection with the stabbing death of a 25-year-old woman who also was a University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign student, according to police and jail records.
Police were not releasing the woman’s name. The Champaign County coroner’s office was not immediately available for comment, but the office’s website states information about trauma cases is not made available until after inquests are held.
Police were called to the 1300 block of North Lincoln Avenue in Urbana just before 11 a.m. Friday when a woman called 911 to report her roommate had been killed by an ex-boyfriend, police said in a news release. Police found the woman dead in the apartment.
The roommate told police the ex-boyfriend had forced his way into the apartment, and held the two women against their will, police said. The roommate was locked in the bathroom, and she fled the apartment after the boyfriend left.
Police were able to identify a suspect and use his cell phone to locate him, as U. of I. police sent out an alert identifying Ci. Ci contacted police and told them he would surrender, according to the release.
Police went to a motel where they had determined Ci was and arrested him.
A webpage identified as Ci’s on the University of Illinos Mathematics Department’s website indicates he is a sixth-year doctoral student in Mathematics, and a Chinese citizen.

A 17-year-old boy being followed by police sped through six stop signs and clipped a car before striking three men crossing a street in the Avalon Park neighborhood, killing one of the men who was celebrating his 32nd birthday, according to prosecutors.

Dorian Williams then crashed into a porch at 83rd Street and Blackstone Avenue, crawled out a broken window of the 2013 Jetta he had been driving and ran away Tuesday night, prosecutors said. He was found hiding in a backyard a block away and charged with reckless homicide, aggravated DUI and leaving the scene of an accident.

Criminal Court Judge James Brown on Friday ordered Williams held on $500,000 bail.
Police say Eugene Ratliff was walking to a corner gas station with two friends before going out to celebrate his birthday when Williams' car struck them about 8:30 p.m. Tuesday.

A few minutes earlier, officers had spotted Williams running a stop sign on 82nd Street and turned on their flashing lights and began chasing him, prosecutors said. They turned their lights off when speeds reached 50 mph, but continued to follow him as he ran four more stop signs, according to prosecutors.
