The husband of a city public health official was charged with sexually assaulting a teen girl, authorities said Friday.
Martin McKinney, 40, of the 9600 block of South Longwood Drive, was charged with criminal sexual assault for the alleged 2007 incident, police said.
McKinney is the husband of Suzet McKinney, a deputy commissioner with the Chicago Department of Public Health, according to a source.
An investigation began in April when the assault was reported to police, officials said.
McKinney was ordered held on $100,000 bond on Friday. He is scheduled to appear in court Aug. 21.
