A Morton East High School security guard has been charged with sexually assaulting a 16-year-old student earlier this summer.
Osiel Martinez, of 3200 block of West 31st street in Cicero, was charged with criminal sexual assault.
Martinez, 36, met the student in the school cafeteria, where he struck up a relationship, prosecutors said. The school is located at 2423 S. Austin Boulevard in Cicero.
He took her to his home twice, where he had sex with her, prosecutors said.
Court document indicated that the assault took place between May 2013 and August 2013.
He later told her not to tell anyone about what happened. But the student told a friend who helped her reach out to authorities, prosecutors said.
Judge Laura Sullivan ordered Martinez to be held in lieu of $200,000.
His next court date is September 3rd in Maywood.
