Slugger Alex Rodriguez says he will appeal his suspension, and the Yankees say he's in the lineup for tonight's game in Chicago.
Major League Baseball said earlier Monday that it is suspending him through the 2014 season amid allegations involving the use of performance-enhancing drugs. Officials said Rodriguez can keep playing during an appeal.
Rodriguez has missed the entire 2013 season so far after undergoing hip surgery but says he's eager to rejoin his teammates for Monday night's game against the White Sox at 8:10 p.m. ET.
