The body of a woman with multiple wounds was found this afternoon in a South Side building, police said.
Few details were available, but at about 4:30 p.m. the woman's body was found in a vacant building in the West Englewood neighborhood on the 7200 block of South Ashland Avenue, according to Police News Affairs Veejay Zala.
The woman appeared to have suffered multiple stab wounds and was dead on the scene, he said, citing preliminary information.

Two men who entered the building found the body of the woman, who appeared to be in her 40s, according to sources. The vacant building had been used as a church in the past.
