Two men were charged with the shooting death of a Waukegan man in Zion on Thursday.
Jamal B. Johnson, 30, and Douglas Alexander, 21, were both charged with first-degree murder on Friday. Police said Johnson lived in the 2100 block of Gideon Avenue and Alexander lived in the 2100 block of Hebron Avenue. Both lived in Zion.
They’re accused of shooting to death Mutassem A. Abdelaziz, 23, of Waukegan. Police found him inside a car in the 2800 block of Sheridan Road about 4:35 p.m. Thursday after responding there to a 911 call of "shots fired."
Zion police weren't certain when Johnson and Alexander would be in court next.
