Deputies responded to a home on Steward Terrace at 10.25pm Wednesday and found 27-year-old Kristin Sottosanti bleeding from multiple cuts to her face, according to Volusia County sheriff's spokesman Gary Davidson.
Sottosanti, a mother of two, told investigators that a masked stranger entered her home through the back door, knocked her to the ground and slashed her face with a sharp steel object while demanding money.
