Illegal Beaner Luis Rosa dropping off student at 8 in the MORNING nearly hits cop, found with booze, false IDs

A man with a series of drunk driving charges in his background and a history of using fictitious names faces felony charges after he nearly struck a police officer as he was dropping off a student at a suburban high school, Riverside police said.
Luis A. Rosa, 36, of Brookfield, was charged with felony aggravated driving while license revoked, obstruction of identification, illegal transportation of alcohol, disobeying a traffic control device and disobeying a police officer, according to Riverside police.
Rosa was arrested at about 8 a.m. on Aug. 30 after he nearly struck a Riverside police officer who was detailed to Riverside-Brookfield High School to watch for traffic violations during the morning dropoff period, police said.
Rosa was at Golf and Ridgewood Road when he tried to drive around the officer and nearly struck him. Rosa then made a U-turn in front of a no U-turn sign and the officer ordered him to pull the vehicle over, police said.
After being asked for his license, the driver pulled out a Mexican passport which indicated that his name was Victor H. Mendez. When police ran that name through the Illinois Secretary of State's computer system, it came back with an expired driving permit that was issued in 1998. The driver, at that time, was arrested for no valid Illinois license, police said.
While searching the car, police recovered a bottle of Modelo beer and an open bottle of Grey Goose vodka from the driver's front seat, police said. Police said the man in the car was dropping off a relative who is a student at the high school.
Once the man was at the Riverside Police Department, police ran his fingerprints, which came up with several different names, police said, including the name of Luis Rosa, of Brookfield.
