Michael Lapato, 26, charged with driving his BMW drunk and mowing down two women in the River North neighborhood

A Lisle man was charged with DUI after his BMW struck two women in the River North neighborhood, according to police.

The crash happened in the 100 block of Ontario Street, between LaSalle Avenue and Wells Street, about 10:10 p.m. Thursday.

Michael Lapato, 26, was driving west on Ontario when he hit two women crossing in the middle of the block, authorities said.
