An 11-month-old girl was thrown from an SUV when a truck struck the vehicle early this morning in the Near North neighborhood, authorities said.
About 2:10 a.m., the driver of a tractor trailer apparently ran a red light and struck the SUV in the intersection of North Dearborn and West Ohio streets, Chicago Police Department News Affairs Officer Hector Alfaro said.
The baby, who was being held in the back seat of the SUV by one of the vehicle's passengers, was ejected from the vehicle.
