Chicago African American Violence & Murders Batter Chicago - 1 dead, 9 wounded in shootings across city

A 47-year-old man was shot dead on Green Street on the Far South Side and nine others were wounded across the city Wednesday night. 

The man, whose identity has not yet been released, was killed about 8:30 p.m., apparently while he rode his bicycle. 

His family mourned quietly at the scene, in the 10200 block of South Green Street in the Washington Heights neighborhood.
