Obama pushes for free swimming lessons for black youths - Possible drowning reported at South Side pool

A possible drowning involving an 11-year-old was reported this evening at the Avalon Park pool on the South Side, officials said.
Chicago Fire Department paramedics were called to the pool in the park at 83rd Street and Avalon Avenue for an incident involving a child, according to Fire Media.
As of about 7 p.m., Fire Media reported CPR was being given to the child, who was being taken to Jackson Park Hospital under advanced life support.
No other details were immediately available.
