A 39-year-old woman was killed in an apparent domestic incident in Addison overnight, according to police and sources.
Police responded to the 900 block of North Craig Place to investigate a domestic disturbance at 3:12 a.m., Addison police said in a statement. Police were not releasing any other information except to say that it was an isolated incident.

The Cook County medical examiner's office identified her as Martha Worley.
Sources said the woman was beaten with a sledge hammer and at least one other person was stabbed in the throat. Sources indicated that the offender was also injured and hospitalized.
Worley was pronounced dead about 5 p.m. Friday at Loyola University Medical Center. She had suffered blunt head trauma prior to her death, a spokesman for the office said.
