Palos Heights Crime Alert - 4 Burglaries in 4 Hours: Police Urge Residents to Take Caution & call 911 if you see suspicious blacks around

Wednesday, 21 August 2013

Dear True News USA:  This story appeared last week about 4 burglaries in 4 hours on Palos Patch. The Palos PD claimed they were all people with unlocked doors, however, if you scroll down to the bottom, a guy  (last name of Chase) claims it was a home invasion, the doors were locked, his kids were home and the "home invaders" walked past his sleeping kids, took the purses from the kitchen, got the car keys and took his car. Nothing on the news about his story. I'm sending it for what it's worth.

Four homes were burglarized Thursday morning, and police are urging residents to take extra precautions to avoid being victimized.

Early Thursday morning, a resident in the 12200 block of 69th Court in Palos Heights told police that someone had entered their unlocked home and stolen a wallet and car keys. The resident awoke to headlights backing out of their driveway—and realized the car was his own, according to a release from police.

As officers were processing the scene, a neighbor across the street reported that someone had come into his unlocked home and taken items from his kitchen.

Police learned that in the span of four hours, two other residences had been entered through unlocked rear doors. The suspect removed items close to the door that had been entered. One residence was in the 12200 block of 69th Av. and the other was in the 12200 block of 71st Ave.

Palos Heights Police remind all residents to make sure that all valuables are kept out of sight and all home and vehicle doors are kept locked.
