Police are investigating the death of a man who was found lying dead in the street early this morning on the North Side in the city's Ravenswood neighborhood.
Shortly before 5 a.m., a passing motorist saw an unresponsive man lying in the street on the 2100 block of West Wilson Avenue, said Chicago Police Department News Affairs Officer Jose Estrada.
Police and paramedics were brought to the scene where the man was pronounced dead.
The man's death is being investigated as a possible hit-and-run, Estrada said. As of 11:40 a.m., the man has not been identified.
The Chicago Police Major Accident Investigation Unit is investigating.
