A 23-year-old Aurora motorist was charged with misdemeanor unlicensed driving in connection with a fatal car-pedestrian crash in Romeoville Thursday night.
Romeoville Police, in a prepared statement, said Jorge Olarte was driving a 2000 Honda Civic northbound around 9:35 p.m. when he hit Samuel L. Bursey, 61, of Plainfield near the intersection of Weber and Romeo roads.
Bursey was crossing Weber eastbound about one block north of Romeo, also known as 135th Street. Weber at that point has two through lanes and one turning lane in each direction.
