A former Northbrook police dispatcher who had also served as a paramedic in Northfield pleaded guilty in federal court this month to having more than 100,000 child pornography images and videos, according to court documents and officials.
Daniel L. Berman, 48, of the 2600 block of Lisa Court in Northbrook, admitted in court July 2 to using websites and file-sharing programs to download the depictions of pre-pubescent children engaged in sexual acts, according to court documents.
Indicted in November 2012 on three counts of child pornography, Berman pleaded guilty to one count. The minimum penalty for him is five years in prison and maximum is 20 years. Sentencing is scheduled for September.
