Two 14-year-old boys are accused of sexually assaulting a 10-year-old girl at knifepoint in the Gresham neighborhood on the South Side, police said.
The boys were cited in a juvenile petition this morning with aggravated criminal sexual assault with a weapon, police said.
The attack happened between 2 p.m. and 3 p.m. on April 28 in the 8300 block of South Kerfoot Avenue, according to a police report.
The girl was walking down the block when the boys approached her and she went into a home with them. One of the boys grabbed a steak knife and pointed it at her, police said. He threatened to kill her if she told anyone, then tore her clothing off and sexually assaulted her, the report stated.
As the victim screamed, the other boy stood by the front door, watching and laughing, according to the report. When they let the girl go, she told someone at her school who contacted authorities and her parents, according to the report.
