A man and woman were found dead in a downtown hotel this afternoon, apparently the result of a double suicide, authorities said.

About 4:20 p.m. a 56-year-old man and a 46-year-old woman were found dead together in bed at 301 E. North Water St., both suffering head wounds in an apparent suicide, according to Police News Affairs Office Veejay Zala.
