50 year old Andrew Lam, who may have been on the lam, killed when his vehicle was struck from behind

A 50-year-old man died early this morning following a crash on the Tri-State Tollway near the O’Hare Oasis late Thursday night in Schiller Park.

Andrew Lam, of an unknown address, was pronounced dead at 4:06 a.m. Friday at Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center, according to the Cook County medical examiner's office.

He was behind the wheel of a van that was rear-ended by a sport-utility vehicle about 11:50 p.m. Thursday on northbound I-294 near the O’Hare Oasis and the Irving Park Road exit, according to Illinois State Police Master Sgt. Chadd Brody.
