(BOLINGBROOK) A small plane crashed in the parking lot of a Bolingbrook bank Wednesday evening in the southwest suburb.
The “small aircraft” crashed about 5:30 p.m. near Weber and Lilly Cache roads in Bolingbrook, said Federal Aviation Administration spokeswoman Elizabeth Isham Cory.
The plane came down in a parking lot near a Chase bank branch, Bolingbrook police Lt. Mike Rompa said.
It was not immediately known how many people were on the plane or if they survived the crash, authorities said.
