A 15-year-old boy released from police custody on Friday was among five people shot through early Saturday morning, according to police.
The boy was shot About 2 p.m. on the 6400 block of South Claremont Avenue in the West Englewood neighborhood, said Chicago Police Department News Affairs Officer Michael Sullivan.
The boy was taken in good condition to Holy Cross Hospital, he said. Police said he had been hit in his lower leg, just above an electronic monitoring device on his ankle, and had been arrested two days ago for having a pistol.
