Police say a group of teens robbed and beat a man who was standing on the front porch of an Evergreen Park home.
On Tuesday, April 9, a 26-year-old man was standing on the front porch of a home on the 8700 block of Troy smoking a cigarette when a group of eight to 10 teen boys walked passed, police said.
The teens began to shout at the man and then grabbed landscape bricks and a metal pipe from the front yards, police said. Some of the teens then began to assault the man and ripped a chain off of his neck, police said. The man's relatives inside the home heard the commotion and called police.
Three of the teens were stopped by police on the 8800 block of Sacramento and identified by the victim, police said. Travell Brown, 18, of the 5400 block of Racine, Noah Holloway, 17, of the 4500 block of W. 79th Place, and Gerald A. Bauseman, 17, of the 2800 block of W. 84th Street were all charged with felony armed robbery, two counts of mob action and battery.
