A 33-year-old fugitive wanted for a Milwaukee bank robbery was captured this week by Chicago police on the South Side, authorities said.
Tremond Dotson of Milwaukee was named in a fugitive from justice out of state warrant for a Monday armed robbery at a Chase Bank branch in Milwaukee, according to a wanted notice release from the Milwaukee Police Department.
About 2:33 p.m. Monday, police allege Dotson walked into the bank located at 111 E. Wisconsin Ave. and handed a teller a demand note and said he had a weapon, police said.
The teller handed over money and Dotson fled the scene on foot, police said.
On Thursday, police arrested Dotson in a nonresidential parking lot on the 5800 block of South State Street, according to Chicago police. Additional details of the capture were not released.
He will be extradited to Milwaukee to face bank robbery charges, officials said.
